●Local-first storage: All drink counts, daily plans, and bear evolution progress are stored locally on your device by default
●Optional cloud backup: If you choose to back up your data or sync across devices, it is encrypted and stored securely with our trusted cloud provider
●No hidden access: No SoberPal team member can view your drink logs or private notes

Data Retention

●Local data: Your drink logs, quit plans, and bear progress stored on your device are retained for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling SoberPal permanently removes all locally stored data
●Cloud backup data: If you opted in to cloud backup, your encrypted data is retained for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, cloud data is permanently removed within 30 days
●Analytics data: Anonymized analytics data is retained for up to 24 months, after which it is automatically deleted
●Support correspondence: Emails and support tickets are retained for up to 12 months after your last interaction to ensure we can assist you effectively

Data Deletion

●You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the SoberPal app from your device
●To request deletion of any cloud-stored data or account information, email us at support@miu.digital with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
●We will process your deletion request within 30 days and confirm once your data has been permanently removed
●After deletion, your data cannot be recovered. Please make sure you no longer need your progress history before requesting deletion
●You may also request a copy of your data before deletion by including that in your request
